Hi! Since the weather's been so good this past couple of weeks (never mind a bit of pouring rain and thunder storm), we went to the beach with friends! Always love the first time on the beach and also swam in a lake the first time this summer too :) Been kept very busy by assignments to school, two more to go before next Friday... Now pictures taken a while ago, none from the beach yet I'm afraid!

Hi! It's been a while and I've been busy since my last post :D Thursday to Saturday was school again, we drew the "basic" pattern for making clothes and it was... interesting! I've learnt a different way to draw them at vocational school but this was a whole lot of math and really took all your patience to complete. But now I can draw patterns in a whole new way which is always good :) Then the next day we found out that during the rest of this year we'll design a collection of 10 outfits (and two accessories) with all the colours, materials, pictures that tell you how the clothes are made... And a professional looking portfolio about it all! So a lot of work, won't have to worry about having nothing to do for a while :D But I love the challenge!
Viime postauksesta on kulunut hetki ja on ollu pientä kiirettä :D Torstaista lauantaihin olin taas koulussa, piirrettiin peruskaavat ja se oli... mielenkiintosta! Oon oppinut piirtämää ne eri tavalla amiksessa, tää tapa oli täynnä melkein ensimmäisen asteen yhtälöitä ja vei kaiken kärsivällisyyden et sen sai piirrettyä. Mutta nyt osaan piirtää kaavoja ihan uudella tavalla mikä on aina hyvä asia :) Seuraavana päivänä saatiin kuulla et loppuvuoden aikana meiän pitää suunnitella 10 asukokonaisuuden (ja kahden asusteen) mallisto ja siihen kaikki värit, materiaalit, tasokuvat... Ja ammattimaiselta näyttävä portfolio siitä kaikesta! Joten paljon hommia, ei tarvi huolehtia tekemisen puutteesta vähään aikaan :D Mutta tykkään tosi paljon haasteesta!

Hey! Been enjoying the weekend early with a day off (though that means work on Sunday), I've been so lazy but at least managed to do some homework for school! It's weird that I complain about not having enough hours in the day to finish all kinds of projects but when I do have time for them I'll rather watch TV or do something else very useful :D Do any of you have this same problem? Hope I'm not the only one...
Oon nauttinut viikonlopusta aikasin vapaapäivällä (se kyl tarkottaa töitä sunnuntaina), on niin laiskottanut mutta onneks oon saanut tehtyä etätehtäviä kouluun! Outoa täs on se että valitan aina siitä, et ei riitä tunnit vuorokaudessa kaikkien eri projektien loppuun saamiseen mut sit kun sitä aikaa on nii katon mieluummin telkkaria tai teen jotain muuta tosi hyödyllistä :D Onko kellää muulla tätä onglemaa? Toivottavasti en ole ainut...
Mum gave me beautiful jewellery and told where some of them have come from! The watch was her graduation present, the white brooch and matching earrings with flowers were brought by my grandfather from a trip to Russia, and most of the others are from both of my grandmothers. I love old jewellery with a history! // Äiti antoi mulle kauniita koruja ja kerto mistä osa näistä on tullut! Rannekello oli äidin valmistujaislahja, valkoinen rintaneula ja siihen kuuluvat korvikset kukilla isoisä toi matkalta Venäjälle ja suurin osa muista on saatu mun isoäideiltä!
This came in the mail today, finally new covers for my phone! It's really hard to find any for my model in stores and the old ones are a bit boring and gather dust easily :D // Tää tuli tänään postissa, vihdoinkin sain uudet kuoret tohon mun kännykkään kun kaupoista ei löydy millään tolle mallille kuoria! Noi vanhat oli aika tylsät ja kerää helposti pölyä :D

These rain boots have been in good use already since all the snow has started to melt, they're so cute you can wear them in public as well :D

Hey! As promised, a post about my weekend at school in Helsinki! I was late every day since the trains were late (okay, on Friday it was my fault...), hopefully next month I'll be on time :D School was very inspiring like last time, we talked about trends, colours, fabrics... I learned a lot and can't wait to start on the home assignments! The sun was shining all weekend which was good for taking pictures:
Postaus viikonlopusta koulussa Helsingissä kuten luvattu! Olin joka päivä myöhässä kun junat myöhästeli aikataulusta (okei perjantai oli mun vika...), toivotaan et ens kuussa oon ajallaan :D Koulu oli tosi inspiroiva niin kun viime kerralla, puhuttiin trendeistä, väreistä, kankaista... Opin paljon juttuja ja en malta oottaa et pääsen tekemää etätehtäviä! Aurinko paisto koko viikonlopun nii oli hyvä ottaa kuvia:
On Thursday we went for lunch at Sushibar which was around the corner from our school! I've eaten sushi once before at Heathrow airport and it was good then, this time it was sooo delicious :) Did take some getting used to the chopsticks, soy sauce and ginger but I managed without dropping anything down my front. It's a real shame that there aren't any sushi places around here... // Torstaina mentiin lounaalle Sushibariin, joka oli kulman takana koulusta! Oon syönyt sushia kerran aikasemmin Heathrown lentokentällä ja se oli sillon hyvää, tällä kertaa se oli niiiin herkullista :) Piti vähän totutella syömäpuikkoihin, soijakastikkeeseen ja inkivääriin mutta onnistuin syömää niin ettei tippunut mitään syliin. Sääli ettei meillä päin ole sushi paikkoja...
We went to the Design Museum on Thursday to see the Ivana Helsinki exhibition, it was interesting to see how the brand has developed over 15 years! // Käytiin Designmuseossa torstaina katsomassa Ivana Helsingin näyttely, oli mielenkiintosta nähä miten merkki on kehittynyt 15 vuoden aikana!
Went to Helsinki 10 to see the Topshop clothes and what else they sell there, the Topshop shoes were all amazing and would have really liked to take a pair home with me... // Kävin Helsinki 10:ssä katsomassa Topshopin vaatteita ja mitä muuta ne myy siellä, Topshopin kengät oli kaikki upeita ja olisin paljon halunnut ottaa parin kotiin...
Although it's nice to get to go to Helsinki once a month I'm glad I usually don't have to be up this early :D // Vaikka onki kiva päästä käymään Helsingissä kerran kuukaudessa nii oon ilonen siitä ettei yleensä tarvitse olla noin aikasin hereillä :D
